Optional: migRavenCustomize .exe.config

The config file for configuring the program migRaven called:

migRaven.exe.config

It is located in the directory c: \ Program Files \migRaven\. migRaven adopts the parameters from this file at program start. For parameter changes to take effect, you must migRaven start anew.

1. Important

For a program update from migRaven all program components are under c: \ Program Files \migRaven\ deleted and rewritten, even this config file. Note down changed parameters separately and enter them again after a program update.

2. Storage location (OU in AD) for the authorization groups

migRaven automatically creates all necessary authorization groups in the AD. These groups are stored uniformly in a specific OU - which you define in advance. There are two possibilities for filing:

1. Under the OU you specify, an additional OU with the server name will be created for each server being serviced. Only in these land the authorization groups: <add key = "ServerOU" value = "1" /> (default).

2. The groups are stored directly in the OU you specified: <add key = "ServerOU" value = "0" />. If you have more than one server, you should include the server name in the name of the authorization groups.

The basis is always the OU, which you in the group configuration have indicated. If the OU does not already exist, it is automatically deleted by migRaven generated.

3. Logging in log files

Information and error messages about the program sequence are logged in the log files.
To get more and more detailed information, the parameter "LogLevel" in the migRaven.exe.config to be changed. The default value for "LogLevel" is "INFO". The DEBUG value writes additional information useful for troubleshooting to the log file.

1. The default value is <add key = "LogLevel" value = "INFO" />
2. With <add key = "LogLevel" value = "DEBUG" /> additional information is written to the log file.

The log files are XML files located in the directory C: \ ProgramData \migRaven\ log.

4. Change to reactivate (old)

For users who want to continue using Modify and Modify Delete Current Folder, there is an entry in the migRavenprovided .exe.config.

This parameter is "ModifySpecial". The possible values are "False" and "True".

Default entry: <add key = "ModifySpecial" value = "False" />

1. The value "False" generates Modify and ModifyPlus rights (default)

  • The default value "False" causes Modifiy rights to be generated in the objects with Modify rights.
  • For the objects that have ModifyPlus rights, a special Modify permission is set up. This is characterized by the fact that with the Modify right instead of the "deletion right" the right "delete subfolders and files" is assigned.
  • This rights assignment also takes place with 8MAN.

2. If True, ChangePlus (old) and ModifyPlus rights are created

  • The value "True" causes the ModifyPlus rights to be generated in the objects where Modify rights exist or are assigned. These are characterized by the fact that Modify rights and additionally the right "refuse delete for only this folder" are awarded.
  • For the objects that have ModifyPlus rights, a special Modify permission is set up. This is characterized by the fact that with the Modify right instead of the "deletion right" the right "delete subfolders and files" is assigned.

Comparison of ChangePlus and ModifyPlus.

5. Group Flatten - Dissolve groups

With this function groups are dissolved and the members (users) are directly authorized.

<add key = "Flatten" value = "" />

The key is already present in the migraven.exe.config. In this form, the groups are not resolved.

<add key = "Flatten" value = "y.type = 'person' and y.isactive = 'True'" />

With this option, the active users are removed from the groups and explicitly authorized.

In "target state in progress" you see the resolved explicitly authorized users.

<add key = "Flatten" value = "y.type = 'person' and y.isactive = 'True' and not (y. userprincipname =~'.*@ads0003.* 'or y. userprincipalname = ~'. * @ ADS0003. * ') "/>

User names can also be excluded.
