For the procedures described here, the licensed migRaven.24/7 data retention are required for operation.
Introduction
As the data owner, you decide which of your data should be archived and which should not. Your IT department cannot know which data is operationally relevant to them, i.e., which data generates revenue. Experience shows that data that hasn't been processed for more than two years is no longer operationally relevant in most industries. MigRaven always evaluates the date of last modification a file and assigns it to the appropriate age categories.
It is always important to remember that every folder that has been archived is deleted from the operational directory tree, thus significantly increasing user efficiency, as they can access their relevant data directly without having to search for long.
If you ever need to view data from the archive, you can do so via the archive link in Windows Explorer (1).

Configure one-time data retention
Identify legacy data
Open in My folders (2) their entry path in migRaven Web Client (3).

If necessary, sort the Age (Number) column (4).

Right-click on the directory you want to archive (5) and select "Perform one-time data retention" from the context menu (6) (7).

Define archiving criteria
In the sidebar that opens, you specify what you want to archive from a directory. You can archive either all data or only an age-related subset of data (6).

Specify whether the directory should be deleted after it has been finally archived (7).
Not deleting the directory only makes sense if it has an explicit data owner or if an archive link is needed at that location.
Comment on the archiving (8) and save the task (9).

The archiving will be done within the next 15 minutes.
